Judy Gilbert Levey is a plein air oil painter in the Washington, D.C. area. She works and exhibits work at Studio B in Bethesda, Md. Judy also paints in Montana and Maine. She is a member of the Bethesda Arts and Entertainment Board and serves on the board of the Flying V Theatre Company.
In the past, she's served as Vice President for the Friends of the Yellow Barn and as President of the Foundry Gallery.
A lifelong artist, Judy's second career as a painter began in 1998 when she switched her life balance from mostly work in an office to mostly painting. In recent years, she has studied with Walt Bartman and Christine LaFuente. Her paintings are noted for their exuberant use of color and modern impressionist sensibility.
